My baby boy, Buster, was hit by a car and killed this morning. Words cannot begin to express how broken my heart is. He was my first pet and made up some of the biggest parts of my heart. I absolutely adored him and it is so hard to imagine coming over to my parent's house and not seeing his smiling face greeting me. It's so surreal to not have him sitting by my side as I'm typing this, or to hear his tags jingle. This place already feels so empty. My heart is absolutely broken.
My dad found him along side the road after the dog had gotten out of the house some how. We went to a local funeral home to have him cremated. Before we took him in, my mom, dad and I made stepping stones with his paw print in each one. And I don't know what else to say. I never realized before how much a pet becomes part of your family. I lost my baby today. |
